I’m on a quest,
A quest for me.
She’s locked up somewhere
And only I have the key.
I need to let go,
Surrender,
Stop fighting the flow
Of the golden river of God
That will carry me there.
She’s sleeping, tattered,
Weak and imprisoned.
Only I can set her free.
She’s forgotten.
And she has forgotten who she is.
She only knows her cage
She only knows the fog that surrounds her
She pulls at the bars and shakes them,
But then she’s tired.
She gives up,
And back to sleep she goes.
I’m called to go on this quest,
I must leave you behind.
Face my fears with courage and faith
That I will be
more than ok
alone.
I must stop chasing you,
and them,
To fulfill me and make me happy.
I must begin to say,
“What does she need?”
And give it to her.
Love her.
Find her.
Set her free.
